ID10T error!
The IT guy said it was just an "eye dee ten tea" error. What the heck is that?
Write it down. Look at it. If you still don't know, then the IT guy may have been right.
ID10T errors are common. They happen every day. Sometimes they are funny, Sometimes they are not. We've listed a few here.
(L)user
IT professionals support a variety of users. Some of those users are so special they get a new title, (L)user.
One example of an (L)user would be the user that constanly calls IT for ID10T errors.

One of my users was having trouble getting their VPN to work from home; however, I was able to test the connection from the user's computer using my credentials, token, and an external Internet connection just fine. Okay, so it's been narrowed down to the user's token or the user. I then tested the connection using the user's VPN token and again had no issue. Now it was time to test the user!

CompanyX upgrades all its printers to lasers. The printers report to the manufacturer, automatically ordering supplies when they run low. An e-mail is sent when the devices report a toner cartridge running low, then the tech takes a replacement to the printer and leaves it for the users to replace.
This way, if the tech is unable to be there when the toner runs out, users can change it out themselves. This works well for all of the printers, even in the administrative area where users are not very technical.
But one area seems to have a problem: the engineering department.
