If for some reason you don't know what Firefox is, like you've been living under a rock, it's an excellent alternative to Internet Explorer. It's also the Default web browser in Ubuntu. There are a few minor differences between the Firefox in Windows, that you may be used to, and the Firefox in Ubuntu.
The first thing you may notice is that Tools > Options is not there.
Instead look in Edit > Preferences.

Firefox 3.6 is not in the default repositories. Follow the steps below to add the launchpad.net firefox repository and install the latest stable release of Firefox.

In Firefox 3.6, when you "open link in new tab" (ctrl+click) the "related" tab opens to the immediate right of the current tab, instead of the end of the line as it did in 3.5. Personally, I like this change. If you want to revert to the old way, follow these steps.

FireFox has a handy feature that allows you to Zoom In & out of web pages.
Hold down the Ctrl key while pressing + to Zoom In.
To Zoom Out, hold down the Ctrl key while pressing -.
If you want to reset the Zoom level, hold Ctrl and press 0. |
