You might think that opening and closing a program would be pretty cut and dry, right? Well, if you are already using the version of Kiba-dock from this site you might still be looking for a way to close it and re-open it easily.

Below you will find instructions for Closing Kiba-dock, adding Kiba-dock to the Applications Menu, and how to set a keyboard shortcut to open Kiba.

Close Kiba dock:

  1. Move the mouse pointer to the edge of the dock making sure not to hover an icon.
  2. Press the Right and Left mouse buttons at the same time.

Keyboard Shortcut:

  1. Go to System > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts.
  2. click ADD
  3. In the Custom Shortcut window type anything for the name and the location of "dock" for the command.
  4. Now click the the word "Disabled" and give Kiba a keyboard shortcut.

Applications Menu:

  1. Go to System > Preferences > Main Menu
  2. In the "Menus" column, located on the left side, click Accessories.
  3. Click "New Item", on the right.
  4. In the Create Launcher window type anything for the name and the location of "dock" for the command.

Optional:

  • You can add a short description in the  "Comment" field.
  • You can assign an Icon by clicking the Icon Box located on the left-side of the Create Launcher window.
