Safe mode is great for fixing Windows, however, you are somewhat limited. You may not be able to uninstall some programs in Safe mode. Safe mode with Networking will allow you to gain access to the internet, but regular Safe mode will not. To access Safe mode follow these steps.

1. Turn on the PC or Restart it.
2. Press the F8 key after POST and before you see the Windows start screen.
   Note: On some PC's F8 will give you a boot menu. If this happens just choose the hard drive and then tap the F8 key again Before you see the Windows start up splash screen.
3. If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot system, use the arrow keys to select the installation that you want to access, and then press ENTER.
4. Use the arrow keys to select the appropriate Safe mode option, and then press ENTER.
